In the October 2007 issue, the editors of The
Absolute Sound have awarded Editor's Choice awards to not one, not two ... but SEVEN of our products! The G2 preamp, the G3 integrated amplifier, and the G4, G8+, NL10.1, NL12.1 amps all received awards. In addition, the G CD player made Harry Pearson's list of Editor Choice awardees.

Jonathan Valin and Harry Pearson of The
Absolute Sound have awarded three of our products Golden Ear Awards in issue 159. Valin gave a joint award to
the NL Signature 1.1 preamp and the NL Signature 12.1 stereo amp for their "big, bloomy, airy, and beautiful" sound. HP
gave his award to the G AV multichannel amplifier, citing its ability to handle the biggest musical climaxes "as if
it were throwing rose petals to the listener."

Positive Feedback Online spent some time with a pair of G8m Statement amplifiers. In his report, Robert H. Levi notes: "The amps have lots of presence, and this really serves the music. They also yield top-notch depth and ambience." He concludes that the M8ms have "a very musical mid-band and a smooth, elegant sound [that] should mate well with just about any loudspeakers."

John Brazier of Positive Feedback Online spends four months with the G3 Integrated Amplifier and pronounces it "the most neutral and transparent amp I have heard." He continues: "If there is one area in which the G3 is an overachiever, it is the size of the soundstage. It was simply massive, and came at me from all directions. Nuances that were once limited to a small portion of the stage were now everywhere. These were not new sounds, just sounds heard in a new way. Percussion abounded from behind me, keyboards hung to the right, and backup vocals were anywhere they wanted to be, at any time!"

The editors of The
Absolute Sound have included an unprecedented EIGHT of our products in their 2006 Recommended Products list,
covering virtually every facet of our product range: the G4, G8+,
NL 10.1, NL 12.1 and NL Signature 1.1 amplifers; the G2 and Signature
1.1 preampliers; and the G3 integrated amp. It's hard to be humble
with an honor like that!

Our G3
integrated amplifier is awarded an Absolute Sound Product of the
Year award in the February/March 2005 issue. The
same issue features a full review of our one-piece wonder, with
Wayne Garcia raving, "What now surprises me is not so much that
the G3 retains the basic sonic signature of the G2 and G8+, but
how close it actually comes to that combo's superb sound." Download

StereoTimes
reports from the 2005 T.H.E. Show in Las Vegas: "The Edge Electronics
room was (a) stellar sounding room. Edge's electronics have long
been a favorite of mine but an added treat at this show was their
electronics driving speakers that were designed by Edge’s
Steven Norber. Driving the speakers was the G8 Plus amplifier, G2
preamp, GCD CD player with Shunyata Research Constellation Series
cable and interconnects throughout.... the sound was captivating,
intensely musical with good extension at the frequency extremes,
and the imaging had a holographic quality."

Gracia breaks with tradition in The Absolute Sound #151 by handing
a Golden Ear Award to our entire company! "With
the Edge stuff, one gets all the good stuff solid state has to offer
-- speed, linearity, low noise, no tubes to futz with -- but without
the attendant darkness and grain that mar most transistor designs."

John
Kotches of Widescreen
Review sings the praises of the G4.5 in the November 2004 issue:
"Whether the material was delicate, subtle, bombastic, weighty or
even sharp and bright, the G4.5 did an outstanding job...Throughout
the review cycle I was impressed with the clarity of reproduction...I
experienced tremendous enjoyment every time I sat down to watch
a film or listen to music."

Bound
for Sound #159 (September 2004) reports in after listening to
the G6 amplifier: "Yes, the G6 stereo amp from Edge Electronics
is one of the finest solid state power amps that I have ever heard.
No kidding....the G6 amp, with few other components, is able to
create a believable sound field that closely mirrors the original
-- it recreates the event as it was recorded." (Full review forthcoming)

Wayne
Gracia falls in love with the Edge G2 AC/DC preamp and G8+
monobloc amps in issue 149 of The
Absolute Sound. He summarizes: "I could continue this analysis,
going over details of midrange performance -- yes, vocals are marvelous
-- and so on. But I trust by now you get the picture. These electronics
are among the most musically compelling stuff I've heard -- and
this is the entry-level stuff!" Download

AV
Guide has taken a listen to our new G4 amplifier,
and they like what they hear: "The Edge Electronics G4 has shaken
my world and shattered my pervious perceptions about moderately
priced solid-state amplifiers."

Bound
for Sound #157 picks the Edge G6 as part of
its killer system: "This amp with the Gallo (Nucleus Reference
3) loudspeakers is a match made for audiophiles and music lovers
too. Audiophiles are not necessarily music lovers, and vice versa,
the camps having different priorities and needs for audio enjoyment.
The Edge G6 is a mid-priced dream come true, as it delves deeply
into the heart of the music with a clarity and boldness seldom,
if ever, heard in amps under $10,000."

Stereophile's
Paul Bolin puts the NL-12 through its paces in the July 2004 issue
and concludes: "The Edge NL-12 has no serious weaknesses, and
a commendably high number of genuine sonic strengths. It should
be considered a must-hear for anyone looking for an amplifier that
offers a particularly well-balanced combination of brute force and
true finesse." Read the full

Positive
Feedback Online Issue 14 assigns three of its reviewers to spend
time with the G4 amplifier and G1 preamplifier. Their findings include:
"The
G1/G4's midrange performance was exceptional in its transparency
and rendition of detail." -- Victor Chavira
"It
continually drew me into the music, and was an excellent match with
my silky-smooth Grand loudspeakers, raising their performance to
the highest level I've experienced so far." -- Jim Grudzien
"They
also had liquidity, but not a soft or gentle sort of liquidity."
-- Larry Cox

Edge
NL-10 Stereo and Signature Monoblock Amplifiers
No
need to dwell on these superb units at great length. Go back and
read the original reviews. I should note that the NL-10, the basic
amp, has been sonically improved. Now it's virtually indistinguishable
from the Signature monoblocks, execept, of course, for the extra
power the Signature supplies for those gigantic orchestral fortes.

Cutting Edge Preamps Compared
Edge
Signature Solid-State Line Stage
What
lifts this unit out of the ordinary is the fact that it can be battery-operated,
as well as through the usual AC line source. ... how just plain
gorgeous the Signature sounds in its battery-driven mode! Talk about
creme fraiche!
...
What you get with the Edge battery is a genuinely exquisite top
octave, a rich, life like midbass that allows the lower strings
not only to sing with authority but with their individual harmonics
isolated and intact, down to lush sound of the rosin the players
use. Each player stands alone, in his own small pool of air.

The
Edge NL-10 is, in terms of absence of overt artifacts,
as tonally neutral as the Burmester front-end electronics. Its dynamic
range exceeds that of the general run of solid-state designs and
does them one better by approaching the dynamic contrasts that the
tube juggernauts can so easily encompass. Furthermore, its low-level
resolution is stunning. Because of a total lack of grain or noise
artifacts, not to mention its in herently quite low distortion,
you feel as if you can hear more deeply into the soundfield, indeed,
back to the back wall, even during highly complex and dynamic orchestral
tuttis, which is what I suppose transparency is all about.
Add to this, the "X" factor – the liquid-like quality
throughout the middle frequencies, which somehow seems to be the
amplifier resolving the sound of the ambient air itself, and you’ve
got something stunning to behear.
